Somerville’s Wholesale Foods originated in Sale Vic in 1943, formally known as the Hawthorn Dairy where things were done the good old fashion way, by getting the milk directly from the farms, the Dairy would then bottle its own Hawthorn Dairy milk. From there it would be neatly staked into crates and delivered via horse and cart straight to the front door.
In 2007 Somerville’s Wholesale food and Ice moved to its current location of 12 Invictus Crt Sale to expansion of the business. Four years later and over 1500 different lines of dry, chilled, frozen, meat, seafood, milk, juice, chemical, packaging and ice products.
Somerville’s Wholesale Food and Ice joined the Countrywide Food Service Australia group in October 1997, providing our customers a one stop shop solution.
